Drive Order Screens From the Per-Tenant Catalogue

Who / when: the Administrator decides which tests and scans a facility can order (the catalogue), and every Physician then orders only from that live list. This is the quiet foundation under every diagnostic order screen — when you search for a test, you are searching your facility’s enabled catalogue, fetched live, not a list baked into the software.

Veona ships a system catalogue of thousands of laboratory tests and imaging procedures. Each facility (tenant) turns on the subset it actually offers, and the order screens read that subset live. Two rules shape what you see: the catalogue toggle (an administrator enabled this test for this facility) and module entitlement (your facility licenses the module the test belongs to — lab items need the Labs module, imaging items need the Imaging module). Because the screen fetches the catalogue at the moment you open it, a test added or retired by your administrator shows up immediately, with no software update.

1. Administrator — open Labs → Test Catalog to manage the laboratory side, or Imaging → Imaging Catalogue for procedures. Enable the tests and scans your facility offers, and route each lab test to its bench or analyzer. Disabling a test removes it from the order screens at once.
2. Physician — open Diagnostics → New Requisition (or order in the chart). Under “Catalogue (Labs + Imaging)”, type into the search box — for example “FBC”, “CT head”, or “malaria”. The box searches your tenant’s enabled catalogue live and returns matching items; there is no fixed drop-down of options to pick from.
3. Physician — select an item from the search results. Each one carries its “Family” (lab or imaging) so a mixed batch stays organised, and you can add as many as you need from either family. Items your facility hasn’t enabled simply never appear in the results.

Note

Imaging items only surface where the Imaging module is licensed (Hospital and Network editions). On a Labs-only facility (for example the standalone Veona Labs edition), the same search box returns lab tests only — the screen adapts to what the facility is entitled to, automatically.

Tip

Because the list is the live catalogue, there is nothing to keep in sync by hand. When your administrator adds a new send-out test or retires an old scan, every ordering screen reflects it on the next search — order screens and the catalogue are always one and the same.
