Clinician (Doctor)

You see patients, decide what care they need, and document it. In Veona you are an ordering provider: you place orders for tests, imaging and medication, and you review the results — but you do not enter results, author imaging reports, or dispense yourself. That separation is deliberate and enforced.

Your role (clinician) holds these capabilities:

  • Open and document encounters — create encounters, write and sign clinical notes, manage problems, allergies, care plans and tasks. (chart.encounter.create, chart.note.write, chart.note.sign, chart.problem.manage, chart.allergy.manage, chart.careplan.manage, chart.task.manage)
  • Record vitals and administer medication at the point of care. (chart.vitals.record, chart.medication.administer)
  • Order lab tests and order imaging — including a unified requisition that mixes both. (lab.order.create, lab.read, imaging.order.create, imaging.read, imaging.study.view)
  • Prescribe medication and, when a drug-drug interaction or allergy hard-stop fires, override it with your own eSign PIN (physician-first rule). (chart.medication.prescribe, rx.prescribe, rx.interaction.override)
  • Use the AI Scribe to draft notes, and approve the draft into the record. (scribe.use, scribe.approve)
  • Author and eSign referrals, and read patient profiles and the master index. (appointments.refer, register.read, patients.read)
  • On the floor: triage, treat and disposition in the ED, admit to a ward, and schedule a theatre case. (ed.triage, ed.treat, ed.disposition, ward.admit, theatre.schedule)

eSign PIN is your 6-digit signing PIN. It is separate from your login password and is required every time you sign or override a record.

You cannot enter or verify lab results, author imaging reports, or dispense medication. Those are fulfilment actions held by lab scientists, radiologists and pharmacists. You review the released result — you do not produce it.
