Read Clinical and Financial Dashboards in Pulse

Veona Pulse is the analytics engine that sits over the whole product. It reads live data from every module — who is in the building, how the queues are flowing, how fast the lab is turning tests around, what was billed and what was collected — and presents it as ready-made dashboards. The headline thing to trust: every number on a Pulse board is computed from your facility’s real, current data, never a seeded or made-up figure, so what you see is genuinely the state of the place right now.

Who / when: an Admin (facility leadership) or an Executive, any time you want the operational or financial picture rather than a single patient’s record. Most clinical roles can read the dashboards for their own area; the sensitive revenue-leakage view is held to leadership and audit. The two analytics roles are the Pulse Analyst — read dashboards, build and export reports — and the Pulse Admin — all of that plus the revenue-assurance surface and settings.

1. Admin / Executive — open Pulse → Dashboards for the cross-facility overview: census (how many patients are admitted and where), queue flow, revenue and the headline clinical KPIs (Key Performance Indicators, the few numbers that tell you whether the day is going well) all on one board.
2. Admin / Executive — drill into a clinical board for detail. Open Pulse → Clinical Operations for ward and encounter activity, Pulse → Diagnostics for lab and imaging volumes and turnaround, Pulse → Pharmacy & Supply for dispensing and stock, or Pulse → Front-Desk & Flow for arrivals, waiting times and how the queues are draining.
3. Admin / Executive — open Pulse → Revenue & Finance for the money view: revenue by department and by payer (whether a patient is Self-pay or billed to an HMO, a Health Maintenance Organisation — the insurer), collections, and collection-rate trends over time. This is where you see what was earned versus what has actually been collected.
4. Pulse Admin — open Pulse → Revenue Assurance for the anti-leakage surface: services that were delivered but never billed, and where revenue is slipping. Because it names approvers and cashiers, this board is reserved to leadership and audit (it needs the extra revenue permission), and is not visible to a plain analyst.
5. Admin / Executive — for a network of facilities, open Pulse → Group Benchmarking to compare sites against each other; Pulse → Statutory and Pulse → ICD-11 support regulatory and diagnosis-coded reporting.
6. Pulse Analyst / Pulse Admin — to answer a question the standard boards do not, open Pulse → Report Builder: choose the metrics, filters and grouping, and preview the result against live data. Save it and it appears under Pulse → Reports, where you can set a schedule so it runs and is delivered on a cadence, or export it (to CSV or PDF). An export only ever contains data you are already allowed to see.

Note

Pulse is read-and-report, not a place where clinical work is done. It does not change a patient’s record or a bill — it reads them. Numbers refresh from the live source, so a figure you see reflects the facility’s actual current state, not a snapshot frozen at seed time.

What happens next

The dashboards stay live as the day unfolds: as patients are seen, tests released and bills settled, the numbers move with them. A saved report you scheduled is delivered automatically on its cadence, so leadership gets the weekly or monthly pack without anyone assembling it by hand. Veona Pulse is included in the Hospital, Network and Public Health editions; a facility on a smaller edition sees the analytics that come with its tier.
