Invite the Patient and Set a Reminder Cadence

Who / when: the Provider (or the live coordinator who runs telehealth scheduling) sends the invite and reminders after a telehealth visit is booked; the Patient is the one who receives them. An “invite” is a secure link the patient uses to join the video room, and a “reminder cadence” is the set of lead times — say a day before and an hour before — at which Veona will nudge them.

Once a telehealth visit exists, the patient needs a way in and a nudge so they do not forget. Both ride on the one consult you created when you booked. Sending the invite is a re-send button — Veona can issue the secure-join link again at any time — and the reminder cadence is a list of lead times that Veona stores on the consult itself, so the same schedule follows the visit wherever it is read.

  1. Provider — open Veona Live → Telehealth Board. This lists the day’s consults. Find the patient’s consult in the Scheduled state and open it.
  2. Provider — press the “Resend Invite” control to send the secure-join invite again. Veona delivers a fresh secure link to the patient on their chosen channel — email or SMS — so they have a current way to reach the room.
  3. Provider — confirm the reminder cadence on the consult. By default Veona reminds the patient a day before (1,440 minutes) and an hour before (60 minutes); adjust the lead times if this visit needs a different rhythm. The cadence is saved on the consult, not on a one-off message.

The patient now has a live secure link and a reminder schedule that will fire on its own. They will see the visit and a join control on their portal, and as the appointment approaches the reminders arrive on cadence. When the slot opens, the provider starts the consult from their schedule and the patient joins the same room — covered next.
