Choose Which Records Appear on the Patient Timeline
A patient’s history timeline is the chronological story of their care, compiled from records across Veona. Out of the box it shows everything; this setting lets a clinical lead decide which sources belong on it, and how they are ordered — so a busy clinic can hide the noise and a specialist clinic can lead with what matters to them.
Who / when: a clinical lead sets this once for the whole facility, when you want the timeline to show the record types your clinicians actually want to see, in the order they want to read them. The same choice also shapes the compiled record pack — the longitudinal summary produced when records are released — so what you turn off here is left out of both.
Configure the timeline
Section titled “Configure the timeline”- Clinical Lead — open Chart → Settings and find the Patient History Timeline section: “Choose which record sources appear on the patient timeline and compiled record pack, and their order.” (This is a clinical-lead task, held by the clinician and nurse roles.)
- Clinical Lead — for each source, use its toggle to show or hide it. A source switched on reads “Shown on the patient timeline”; switched off, “Hidden from the patient timeline.”
- Clinical Lead — use the up (↑) and down (↓) arrows to reorder a source — move what your clinicians read first to the top.
- Clinical Lead — each change saves as you make it — there is no separate Save button. Toggle or reorder and it takes effect immediately.
The record sources you can show or hide

What happens next
Section titled “What happens next”A hidden source is simply not displayed — nothing is deleted — and switching it back on brings its history straight back. Because the choice also shapes the compiled record pack, the records team releases exactly the sources, in the order, you configured here.
