FHIR R4 Export

Veona can export a patient’s record as standard HL7 FHIR R4 — the modern, web-based standard for exchanging health data — so an authorised external system can read a facility’s clinical information without learning Veona’s internal data model.

FHIR (Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources) is the international interoperability standard, and R4 is its current normative release.

What it offers

  • Read-only. Partners read records out; the export never accepts data inbound and offers no create, update, or delete. It is a standards-compliant window onto the record, not a door into it.
  • Standard coding. Where data is coded, Veona uses recognised systems such as LOINC for observations and ICD-11 for diagnoses.
  • Fully audited. Every export is recorded as a PHI (Protected Health Information) disclosure in Veona’s tamper-evident audit trail — naming who read which patient’s record, and when. An exported record is always accountable.
  • Access-limited. Access is restricted to an integration administrator. No clinical role can reach it, and each export is scoped to a single facility’s data.
