Run Staff Time-Attendance
Time-attendance is staff clocking in and out on a physical device on the wall. Veona supports ZKTeco clocks (a common fingerprint/card time clock); the device pushes each punch to Veona, which turns it into a daily record of hours worked against the roster. This is staff payroll attendance — it has nothing to do with patient biometrics.
Who / when: an Administrator or payroll user sets this up and reviews it. Registering and mapping devices is a privileged configuration action; reading the records is open to the payroll role.
We will register a clock, attribute its punches to a staff member, and read the records.
Register a device
Section titled “Register a device”- Administrator — open Integrations → Staff Attendance. Under Register Device, enter the device serial number and a display name, then press “Register Device”.
- Administrator — a push key is shown once. On the ZKTeco device, set its push URL to the Veona push URL shown on the device’s row, and configure it to send this key in the
X-Device-Keyheader (or as a?key=query). Copy the key now — it is not shown again. - Administrator — the device appears under Registered Devices. You can Rotate Key (which issues a fresh single-use key) or Disable a device later. The row shows when it was last seen, so you know it is reporting.
Map enrolments to staff
Section titled “Map enrolments to staff”- Administrator — under Map Enrolment → Staff, select the device, enter the device enrolment id (the id the staff member is enrolled under on the clock), search for and select the staff member, then press “Map Enrolment”.
- Administrator — Veona confirms how many existing punches were re-attributed to that staff member. From now on, punches under that enrolment feed their rostering and payroll.
Read the records
Section titled “Read the records”- Administrator — the Attendance Records panel shows, per day and per staff member: first in, last out, hours worked, rostered hours, and the variance (worked minus rostered). Use the date pickers to set the window.
What happens next
Section titled “What happens next”The mapped punches become the hours-worked figures payroll reconciles against each staff member’s roster. The variance column is where you spot under- or over-time before a pay run, and the records carry forward across windows so a payroll period is just a date range on this screen.
