Track My Training And CPD
Your training history is yours to see in Veona. On one screen you can review the sessions you are enrolled on, the courses you have completed (certificate and all), and the running total of CPD credits you have earned. You can also self-record a completion for the lighter, optional courses, so your record stays current without waiting for HR to key it in.
Two terms to define. CPD stands for continuing professional development — the ongoing learning clinicians and other staff are expected to keep up, measured here in credits a completed course confers. And a mandatory (or credentialing) course is one your facility requires for safety or registration — and because it carries weight, its completion has to be recorded and signed off by HR or a manager, not self-claimed.
Who / when: Any Staff doing training, whenever you want to check what you are enrolled on, confirm a completion, watch your CPD total, or log an optional course you have finished.
We will follow Dr Okeke, a clinician keeping an eye on her CPD before a registration deadline.
Review your training and CPD total
Section titled “Review your training and CPD total”- Any Staff — open Human Resources → My HR → My Training. Three readouts sit across the top: “CPD Credits” (your total earned), “Enrolments” (how many sessions you are signed up for) and “Completions” (how many records you hold).
- Any Staff — read the “CPD Credits” panel. It is your CPD ledger: every credit-bearing course you have completed, with the “Course”, the “Credits” it earned, the “Period” it counts toward, and when it was “Earned”. Dr Okeke can tally exactly what she has accrued this period.
- Any Staff — check “My Enrolments” to see the sessions you are booked on and your attendance status against each (for example Enrolled, Attended or No Show).
- Any Staff — open “My Completions” for your finished courses, each with its “Outcome”, the “CPD” it conferred, when it was “Completed”, when it “Expires”, and a status of either “Recorded” or “Signed Off”. Press “View” on any row to open the completion record and its certificate.
Other ways this goes
Section titled “Other ways this goes”Self-record a non-mandatory completion
Section titled “Self-record a non-mandatory completion”- Any Staff — for an optional (non-mandatory) course you have finished, you may record your own completion from the training surface — pick the course, set the completion date and outcome, and save.
- Any Staff — the moment it is recorded, the course’s CPD credits are added to your ledger automatically, and the completion appears in your “My Completions” list marked “Recorded”. No sign-off is needed for an optional course, so your CPD total ticks up straight away.
Blocked: a mandatory completion must be HR-recorded and signed
Section titled “Blocked: a mandatory completion must be HR-recorded and signed”- Any Staff — you cannot self-record a completion for a mandatory or credentialing course. Veona refuses with “A mandatory or credentialing course completion must be recorded and signed off by HR or a manager.”
- HR / Manager — instead, HR or your manager records that completion on Human Resources → Team Training and signs it off with their eSign PIN. Only then does it show “Signed Off” on your record and count toward a registration requirement. This guard is what keeps required training trustworthy.
Review your CPD for a single period
Section titled “Review your CPD for a single period”- Any Staff — the “CPD Credits” ledger shows the “Period” each credit counts toward, so you can read off exactly what you have earned in the period that matters — for example the cycle leading up to a registration renewal.
- Any Staff — match the total against your requirement, and if you are short, enrol on or complete more courses to close the gap before the deadline.
Everything here is just yours
Section titled “Everything here is just yours”- Any Staff — this surface is scoped to you alone — your enrolments, your records, your ledger — resolved from your signed-in identity. You cannot see a colleague’s training from here.
- Any Staff — managers review and record their team’s training on the team-facing training screens, not on this self-service one.
What happens next
Section titled “What happens next”Your CPD ledger is a living record you can show at an appraisal or a registration renewal, and it updates itself every time a completion is recorded — by you for the optional courses, by HR for the mandatory ones. Where a completion carries an expiry, Veona tracks that too, so the wider credentialing system can prompt a renewal before it lapses. Keep finishing courses and the total here keeps climbing, with no manual bookkeeping on your part.
