Run a Campaign

A campaign is a marketing or outreach drive you want on the record — an email blast, an event you sponsored, a referral-partner push. PRM keeps a register of them: each campaign carries a type, an optional budget, a start and end window, and a status as it runs.

Be clear about what this is — and is not. Campaigns in Veona today are a plain register: standalone records you create and track. A campaign does not automatically link to the leads or opportunities it produced, and there are no response or ROI metrics — Veona does not count how many leads a campaign generated or what revenue came back. Treat it as a budgeted activity log, not an analytics engine. (This is an honest current limit, called out so you do not expect attribution that is not there.)

Who / when: the business-development officer (the account manager) records a campaign when planning or running an outreach effort, and updates its status as it moves from planned to live to finished. Use it to keep a tidy, budgeted list of what marketing is doing.

We will follow Bisi the business-development officer, recording a referral-partner outreach drive.

  1. Business-development officer — open PRM → Campaigns and press “New Campaign”.
  2. Business-development officer — give the campaign a Name and choose a Type: Email, Event, Outreach, Referral or Other.
  3. Business-development officer — set the StatusPlanned, Active, Completed or Cancelled — and optionally a Budget (in major units) and a Start Date / End Date for the window.
  4. Business-development officer — press “Create”. The campaign joins the register; budgets are shown in your PRM default currency.

The campaign sits in the register as a record of the effort and its budget. Nothing else fires from it — no leads are auto-tagged to it, no opportunities are attributed to it, no GL entry is made (a budget here is a recorded figure, not a posted cost). If you want to associate the business a campaign generated, capture incoming leads with the Campaign source so you can at least filter your leads by that channel — see Capture and Convert a Lead.
