Download Documents From the Portal
Who / when: the Patient, whenever they need to share a document with their clinic or keep a copy of one the clinic shared with them. The portal’s Documents area is a private, two-way drop box: you can upload a file (say, a referral letter or a scan you brought from elsewhere) and you can download files back out. Everything you put in is encrypted at rest, and only you and your care team can reach it.
Behind the scenes, every file you upload travels through Veona’s shared encrypted Storage module — the same vault the rest of the system uses for clinical documents. Your file is encrypted on the way in, stored encrypted, and decrypted only when you ask for it back through your own authenticated session. Download a file you uploaded and you get back the exact same document, byte for byte — a complete, secure round-trip.
- Patient — sign in to the patient portal (see Sign In, Reset and Recover a Portal Account).
- Patient — open Documents from the portal home. You’ll see any documents already shared with you.
- Patient — to add one of your own, use the upload control and choose a file from your phone or computer (a PDF works well). It uploads, is encrypted, and then appears in your documents list.
- Patient — to keep or re-share any document, select it and press “Download”. The file comes back to your device exactly as it went in — a faithful copy, decrypted just for you.
What happens next: your uploaded document is safely in encrypted storage and visible to your care team alongside the rest of your record; anything they’ve shared with you is one tap away to download. The same vault and the same round-trip back your released results and every PDF the clinic generates — see how the storage layer works for everyone in Store Encrypted Files Used Everywhere.
