Compare a Budget Against Live Actuals
A budget in Veona is a monitoring tool: it sets a planned amount per account and period, and the budget screen shows that plan against the live actual computed from the General Ledger. You read it to see how spend or income is tracking against plan, account by account.
Who / when: the Accountant, Finance Manager and read-only Auditor read budgets — typically through the month to watch how a department or project is tracking against plan.
We will follow Tunde the finance officer, checking how the Laboratory’s consumables spend is tracking.
