Record and eSign a Therapy Session
A session is one therapy appointment within the episode. The physiotherapist schedules it, then records what actually happened — the modalities delivered, the exercises performed, the patient’s pain, and any consumables used — and finally eSigns it. Signing is the moment that matters: it locks the note as a tamper-evident record and turns the session into a billable event.
Who / when: Tobi the physiotherapist schedules and signs sessions; a Physiotherapy Assistant may record (deliver) a prescribed session, but only a physiotherapist signs it. Both work on the therapy detail screen. A modality is a treatment method (manual therapy, exercise therapy, electrotherapy, hydrotherapy, gait training, and so on).
Schedule the session
Section titled “Schedule the session”- Tobi — open the episode from Physiotherapy → Referral Worklist.
- Tobi — in the Session Log block, press Schedule Session, pick the therapist and the date and time, and Schedule. The session appears in the log as Open.
Record what happened
Section titled “Record what happened”- Tobi — on the session row, press Record to open the session form.
- Tobi — confirm Patient attended. (If the patient did not turn up, leave it unchecked and give a no-show reason — a no-show is recorded but never billed.)
- Tobi — add the Modalities Delivered (each with an optional note), the Exercises Performed (with sets and reps), a Pain Score (0–10) and a Progress Note.
- Tobi — record any Consumables Used. Pick each one from the stock-item search so it is inventory-linked, and set the quantity.
eSign the session
Section titled “eSign the session”- Tobi — enter your 6-digit eSign PIN in the session form.
- Tobi — press Record & Sign. The session is saved, the consumables draw down, the note locks (a signed session is read-only), and the PHYSIO-SESSION charge is raised.
You can also record outcome measures (e.g. an Oswestry Disability Index score) in the Outcome Measures block to track the patient’s progress over the episode, and when the goals are met, discharge the patient from the Discharge block.
What happens next
Section titled “What happens next”The signed session has now produced two charges’ worth of value — the assessment and the session — and any stock it consumed has left inventory. The next guide follows that money: how the charge becomes revenue and how the session shows up in Veona Pulse.
