Build the Exercise Library, Therapy Types and Rehab Packages

Rather than write every treatment plan from scratch, the rehab service builds a library of reusable parts: the exercises it prescribes, the therapy types that bundle those exercises into a billable session, and the packages that sell a fixed course of therapy at one price. A physiotherapist then draws on them when planning an episode.

Who / when: a physiotherapist / rehab lead (the role holding physiotherapy configuration) builds these once. Key terms: an exercise is one reusable rehab movement with its instructions — a non-billable building block. A therapy type is a named, billable session template carrying default exercises. A rehab package is a sellable, fixed-session bundle of therapy types sold at one fixed price.

  1. Physiotherapist — open Physiotherapy → Exercise Library.
  2. Physiotherapist — create an exercise with a Code (for example EX-KNEE-EXT), a Name (for example Seated Knee Extension), the Body Parts it targets (the anatomical search index, for example Knee, Quadriceps), a Difficulty (Beginner / Intermediate / Advanced), step-by-step Instructions, and any media references.
  3. Physiotherapist — save. The exercise is now searchable and reusable. Exercises are non-billable — they carry no price of their own.

A therapy type turns exercises into a named, billable session.

  1. Physiotherapist — open Physiotherapy → Therapy Types.
  2. Physiotherapist — give it a Code and Name (for example Post-op Knee Rehab Session), the Body Parts it addresses, and a default session duration.
  3. Physiotherapist — turn the billable flag on if the session carries a charge, then set its price per session.
  4. Physiotherapist — add a default bundle of exercises from the library, each with default sets, reps and hold-seconds — the standard prescription for this therapy. These seed a session’s exercise list when a session of this type is recorded.
  5. Physiotherapist — save.

A package sells a fixed course of therapy at one price.

  1. Physiotherapist — open Physiotherapy → Therapy Packages.
  2. Physiotherapist — give the package a Name (for example 12-Session Knee Rehab Package) and a Description.
  3. Physiotherapist — add the lines — each a therapy type and the number of sessions of it (for example “12 sessions across 2 therapy types”).
  4. Physiotherapist — Veona computes the total sessions and the lump-sum package price from the lines; you never type the totals. Save.

When a physiotherapist authors a treatment plan for an episode and picks a package, Veona seeds the plan with that package’s therapies and prices it as the package lump sum, instead of pay-per-session. The default exercises on each therapy type seed the session’s exercise list when a session is recorded.

Building rehab from a shared library makes every physiotherapist’s plans consistent and fast, and lets the clinic sell rehabilitation the way patients understand it — “a 12-session knee package for one price” — while the system still tracks the sessions, the exercises and the billing underneath.
