Veona Maternity

import { Steps } from ‘@astrojs/starlight/components’;

Veona Maternity covers the maternal and newborn journey: antenatal visits with risk stratification, the partograph (the labour chart that plots cervical dilatation and progress against time), the delivery record, newborn registration — which mints a new patient UHID (Unique Health ID, formatted VNA-…) for the baby — the birth certificate signed under an eSign PIN (a 6-digit signing re-authentication, separate from the login password), and the birth-dose immunisation schedule.

Who uses it: midwife records antenatal visits, manages labour, records delivery, registers the newborn, and records immunisation. obstetrician does all of the above plus certifies births and issues the birth certificate (maternity.birth.certify, vital.certificate.issue); the vital_registrar can also issue it.

Maternity is included in Hospital, Network, and Public Health. It is not in Health Centre. It depends on Register.

  1. Open Antenatal (“Antenatal visit”).

  2. Pick the mother (her antenatal record, or her UHID).

  3. Record the visit findings and risk stratification, then select Save.

  1. Open Partograph for the labour admission and select Plot entry to add a timed observation against the cervical-dilatation axis.

  2. When the baby is born, open Delivery (“Record delivery”), pick the mother, set the delivery time and mode (SVD, C-section, assisted, breech), and select Save delivery.

  1. Open Newborn (“Newborn record”).

  2. Pick the mother from the patient picker, then record the newborn’s sex, weight, APGAR, and the delivering team.

  3. Select Register. A new patient UHID is minted for the baby, linked to the mother, and shown on success.

  1. Open Birth Certificate and find the birth record.

  2. Select the issue action to open the eSign confirm.
