Log Activities
An activity is a logged interaction — a record of something you did or need to do with a customer. PRM tracks five kinds: Call, Meeting, Email, Note and Task. You log an activity against any PRM object — an account, a lead, an opportunity or a contact — so the history of the relationship lives right next to the thing it concerns. A task can carry a due date and be marked complete, turning the activity log into a lightweight to-do list as well as a history.
Who / when: the business-development officer (the account manager) logs an activity after every meaningful touch (a call placed, a meeting held) and ahead of one they need to remember (a task due next week). The log is what keeps the relationship from living only in someone’s head.
We will follow Bisi the business-development officer, recording a follow-up call and setting a reminder.
Log an activity
Section titled “Log an activity”- Business-development officer — open PRM → Activities and press “Log Activity”.
- Business-development officer — choose the Type — Call, Meeting, Email, Note or Task — and give it a Subject (a one-line summary).
- Business-development officer — choose the Related Type (Account, Lead, Opportunity or Contact), then pick the specific related object from its searchable picker. The activity attaches to that record.
- Business-development officer — optionally set a Due date (for a task or a planned touch), assign an Owner, and add Notes for the detail.
- Business-development officer — press “Log”. The activity appears in the list and on the related record.
Mark a task complete
Section titled “Mark a task complete”- Business-development officer — find the open activity in the list (or filter to Open).
- Business-development officer — press “Complete” on its row. Veona timestamps it as done and flips its status to Completed. Completing is idempotent — pressing it again keeps the original completion time.
What happens next
Section titled “What happens next”Activities accumulate into the running history of each account, lead, opportunity and contact. They are pure relationship-management records: logging or completing an activity moves no money and creates nothing elsewhere. (One place writes an activity for you automatically — declining a quotation with a reason records that reason as a Note on the account.)
