Use The My HR Self-Service Hub
My HR is the home every staff member gets — no HR-admin permission required. It pulls together your own situation at a glance: how many approvals are waiting on you, how much leave you have left, your next shift, your latest payslip, your open goals and appraisals, training that is due, and any credentials about to expire. Everything on it is yours — the screen is scoped to your own record on the server, so it can never show you another person’s data. From here you reach the rest of the “My …” screens; My HR composes them rather than duplicating them.
This page covers My HR (the dashboard) and My Profile (your editable employee record), which is one tap away.
Who / when: any staff member, any time they want to check or update their own HR information. We’ll follow Daniel, a lab scientist, getting his bearings on a new payday morning.
The main path
Section titled “The main path”- Staff member — open Human Resources → My HR → My HR. The readouts across the top show “Pending Approvals”, “Leave Available”, “Pending Leave Requests” and “Today Worked”, with a second band for “Open Goals”, “Open Appraisals”, “Training Due” and “Expiring Credentials”. Below sit “Next Shift” and “Latest Payslip” panels.
- Staff member — jump where you need to. Each tile and link is a doorway: “View Roster” opens your shifts, “All Payslips” opens your payslips, and the row of buttons leads to “My Approvals”, “My Goals”, “My Appraisals”, “My Training”, “My Credentials”, “My Expenses” and “My Timesheets”. The “Request Leave” button at the top takes you straight to your leave screen.
- Staff member — open your record with “My Profile” (top of My HR, or Human Resources → My HR → My Profile). It shows your “Employment” details — staff number, job title, department, position, grade, who you report to — alongside your “Contact”, “Next Of Kin & Emergency” and “Bank Account” cards.
- Staff member — update your own contact details. Select “Edit Contact”, change your “Phone”, “Home Address”, “Marital Status”, next-of-kin and emergency-contact fields, then select “Save”. Your changes appear immediately and a confirmation shows.
Other ways this goes
Section titled “Other ways this goes”Adding or replacing your bank account
Section titled “Adding or replacing your bank account”- Staff member — on My Profile, select “Bank Account”.
- Staff member — fill in “Bank Name”, “Account Name” and “Account Number” (all required), with optional “Bank Code” and a “Currency”, then select “Save”. The account is stored encrypted at rest and becomes your primary account for payroll disbursement. Saving again replaces it.
When job, salary or role need to change
Section titled “When job, salary or role need to change”You cannot edit these yourself, by design — there is no field for them on the contact form, and the server refuses changes outside the contact slice even if attempted. A change of position, grade, salary or reporting line is an HR action: ask your HR team, who make it on the employee-record screens.
Before HR has finished onboarding you
Section titled “Before HR has finished onboarding you”If you can sign in but HR has not yet created your full employee record, My HR tells you so plainly and still shows your approvals inbox; the rest of the dashboard fills in once your profile exists. See the new-employee guide for what completes automatically and what HR does next.
Your data stays yours
Section titled “Your data stays yours”Every route behind My HR and My Profile is self-scoped on the server from your verified session — none of them accepts another person’s identifier. There is no path here to read or edit a colleague’s profile, payslip, leave or credentials, no matter how you navigate. The “My …” namespace is the provably-personal lane.
What happens next
Section titled “What happens next”My HR stays current as you work: book leave and “Pending Leave Requests” ticks up; clock in and “Today Worked” climbs; finish a pay run and a fresh payslip appears. From this one home you keep your own details right and reach every self-service task in a couple of taps — leave, shifts, payslips, training, goals, appraisals, expenses and credentials.
